Google to save 10,000 lives per year with new technology

Acoording to the Wall street journal,Google tested its new 911 location sharing technology in December and January and that the results were promising. According to Federal regulators having precise location of 911 callers could help save tens of thousands of lives each year
This works in a way such that when a person calls 911 the caller's location data is delivered via carrier the problem is that these estimated location data are often imprecise, costing public safety officials extra time to respond to emergency situations
This is why advocacy groups and public safety officials have been pursuing companies like Google and Apple to share their location data.
